The Mexx culture stretches across all geographical boundaries. From Hong Kong to Hungary and from Amsterdam to Athens and has 9,000 sales points worldwide. Our offices, stores and showrooms project a singular style. With close to 700 employees working at our international headquarters, also called the Mexx Corporate and Design Centre is an innovative space from which much of Mexxs product creativity flows. Located in Amsterdam, the centre is home to all of the Mexx design divisions as well as our commercial departments.
Conceptualised by London-based interior design studio Sevil Peach, workspaces are intended to enhance interaction and learning while maintaining the highest degree of functionality. True to the Mexx spirit, the building is based on openness, flexibility, communication and fun. Do not be surprised to find a pool table or coffee bar in the lobby!
HISTORY
Founded in 1980, our company was named Mexx in 1986 when our two previous brands, Moustache (for men) and Emanuelle (for women) were united with two kisses to form: M(oustache) + E(manuelle) + XX = MEXX. Since then, Mexx has grown rapidly and is now an internationally prominent company, employing over 6000 people worldwide.
A marriage made in heaven took place in May 2001 when Mexx was acquired by Liz Claiborne Inc. in the United States. One of the worlds largest multi-brand apparel, accessories and fragrance companies, Liz Claiborne Inc.s portfolio consists of 44 brands.
